    As these courses give you professional level training; you need to be competent on a computer. Don’t worry if you don’t think you have the drawing skills or eye for design; curiosity and desire to succeed are the most important qualities!

As soon as you sign up to the course you will gain instant access to the online content, and within the first week will be officially welcomed by your assigned teacher.

Once you’ve enrolled

  • You will be given a username and password and get immediate access to the course content and online community of students and mentors.

  • Each course will have a number of videos and related assignments you need to complete to pass to the next stage. Each assignment is marked and validated by a mentor, so that you pass to the next stage secure in the knowledge you have understood and developed the core skills and requirements.

  • There are key moments built into the course where, if you are struggling or don’t understand anything, you will have the opportunity to talk to a teacher.

  • On the Fundamentals and Master courses you will be assigned a mentor; who will give you specific advice and feedback on your projects.

What tools do I need?

Interior designers need a number of basic instruments and software packages to be able to work. We recognize that you might not be ready to invest in these however. We’ve designed all of our courses so that you can complete them at a minimum cost, with a range of free trials available to complete the course.

  • There are a few things you will need to be able to participate on the course:

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Will I feel supported through the course?

    On each course a teacher will mark and validate your assignments and give you feedback. For the longer courses, the support is more extensive with 1-2-1 mentoring and advice on specific projects.

  • How long will I take to complete the course?

    This depends on how much time you have to dedicate to each course. We anticipate that most people can complete the Interior design foundations course in three months; with the fundamentals and master courses taking between 3 - 6 months to complete. ** based on an average of 20 hours per week.

  • Do I need to purchase any software to do this course?

    We have done our best to minimise the need for students to buy software to complete the course. Most students will be able to complete the course using trial packages of each software. However, if you sign up to the free trial and then need to take a break from the course before you have completed the assignments, you may need to purchase.

  • Do I need to be highly competent on the computer to do this course?

    Basic computer skills are a must for any online course. However, the platform has been chosen to be easy to use and we believe those with basic computer skills will be able to complete the course.

  • Will I be able to interact with other students while on the course?

    We cannot guarantee that you will start the course at the same time as other students, however we do encourage students to use the community pages to talk to each other and share design ideas.

  • How will receive feedback about my work and how will I be assessed?

    At the end of each module there will be a set assignment, either with multiple choice questions with set design tasks. Each of these assignments will be marked by a teacher and sent back to you via the online platform.

  • English is not my first language, will I struggle with the course?

    For now, all of our video content is in English. So you will need basic English skills in order to be able to participate in the course. However, we are a multi-lingual company and have plans to translate our content into Spanish and French in due course.

  • Do I need any skills or experience to do this course?

    We do not require any formal training, skills or experience to do these courses. The desire to learn and try things out is most important.

  • Do you offer payment plans so that I can pay my course in installments?

    For the Fundamentals and Master courses, we do offer payment plans. If you would like to know more, please schedule a call with us and we can talk you through the options.

  • Once I’ve paid, how soon can I start the course?

    You can access content straight away, and will be assigned a teacher or mentor within 48 hours of signing up.

  • What if something comes up and I need to take a break from the course because I don’t have the time?

    The course content will always stay live so you can go back to the course whenever you have time. For the Design Masters course, you will need to notify us so that we can put your projects on hold and re-enrol you at no extra cost when you find the time.

  • I can’t draw but really like the idea of doing interior design. Can I still do the course?

    You will get the opportunity to practice drawing throughout the course. While it helps to be able to draw it certainly does not exclude you from successfully designing your own interiors.

  • I started on the Design foundations course but I’ve now decided I want to learn more. Can I upgrade my subscription?

    As a gesture of goodwill, for any course upgrade we will reduce the subsequent package by $200.

  • I signed up but I’ve changed my mind and no longer want to do the course?

    We offer you a 72 hour grace period to change your mind on any course.
